Even Cargo to support the Logistics programs at DSEU; more job opportunities in pipeline

New Delhi:The Delhi Skill and Entrepreneurship University (DSEU) and Even Cargo, an all-women delivery platform signed an MoU to jointly develop a course curriculum for Logistics and Transportation courses at DSEU. With the partnership, Even Cargo will provide industry knowledge and on-ground expertise to enable more women to work in logistics and supply chains. The enterprise will curate courses, undertake skill-development seminars and industrial visits to ensure holistic engagement and career enhancement of female students in the logistics sector.

 

Speaking on the partnership, Dr. Neharika Vohra, Vice Chancellor, DSEU said “We are delighted to have Even Cargo on board to work on our Logistics and Transportation programs. Being a Skill and Entrepreneurship university, our goal is to skill our students and maximize opportunities from skilling. In sectors such as logistics and support, there is large persistence of gender gap, we look forward to bridge this gender gap.”

She further added, “Even Cargo has announced to train women e-rickshaw drivers who will be stationed around the campus to provide commute facilities for students and staff members; thereby strengthening the connectivity of the campus. DSEU is happy to be a part of initiatives that shall drive change in the communities and for the youth in the coming years”

 

Commenting on the partnership, Ms. Karina Bhasin, COO, Even Cargo said “We have partnered with DSEU to ensure skill development, capacity building, and increased participation of women in the logistics and transport sector. It is heartening to see how leading universities like DSEU are taking the initiative to bring gender inclusion in their curriculum and pedagogic practices. We are excited and proud to see what comes ahead and wish more and more women participate in non-traditional courses”

 

DSEU and Even Cargo shall work together in exploring the possible areas of work, training, capacity building to students in the logistics sector. The partnership shall also reap the benefits of industry presence in the two programs of DSEU – BMS e-Commerce Operations and BMS Land Transportation.
