Evergreen Club empowers seniors to adopt a holistic lifestyle this ‘International Yoga Day’
New Delhi: Since time immemorial, Yoga has been scientifically recognized as a holistic practice for the physical, mental and spiritual well-being of people across all age groups. It brings positive changes, improves immunity and effectively enhances their lifestyle, especially among older adults. Evergreen Club – a unique lifestyle and wellness digital community launched by Seniority, aims to promote the benefits of Yoga through special workshops on the occasion of International Yoga Day (21st June).
Session 1 (8:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.) – Ashtanga Yoga is one of the most relieving forms of Yoga for the elderly, which helps channelize energy levels, increases physical strength and brings calmness and freshness in life. Dr. Rajendra Barge and Sharvari Shirke, Certified Instructors from Ministry of AYUSH (Govt. of India), will enlighten members on the benefits of this useful yoga and guide them through some helpful asanas.
Session 2 (8:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.) – Stress and anxiety is one of the most commonly occurring health issues among the elderly. Ms. Heena Vaze, Director and Co- Founder, HappyYogi, will focus on stress-reduction asanas to help the members relax mentally and physically, while also sharing tips on how to remain calm, composed and positive in their day-to-day lives.
