Extempore Speech Competition at AMU Malappuram Centre

 

Aligarh : Sadhvi Singh, Asjad Islam, and Zakia Fatima won the first, second and third prizes in an online interdepartmental extempore speech competition on “We the People of India” organised by Department of law, AMU Mallapuram centre to mark the Azadi ka Amrit Mahautsav celebrations.

The forty participants from three departments were given two minutes to speak in English on randomly assigned topics connected to the theme which was revealed right before the speech.

Mr Yash Jain stood fourth and Ms Fathima S and Ms Mantasha Khan jointly shared fifth position. The Consolation prize was won by Ms Zeba Sarwar and Afina SS respectively.

Dr Faisal KP, Director, AMU Malappuram Centre while declaring the results of the competition said, “Such kinds of programmes are necessary for the students to develop their speaking and presentation skills and also become responsible citizen of the country.

Dr Shahnawaz Ahmed Malik, Coordinator In-Charge, Dept of Law delivered welcome address.

Dr Lubna Irfan and Dr Shally Victor both (Dept of Law) were the judges of the event.

The session was concluded by a vote of thanks from Dr Absar Aftab Absar, Assistant Professor, Department of Law.

The programme was conducted by Ms Zaib Jahan Zaidi.
