Extension lecture on Emerging Geopolitical and Geoeconomic realities

ALIGARH : Prof. Faisal Ahmad (FORE School of Management, New Delhi), an expert in trade and geopolitics, raised the pertinent question whether the countries entering the Indo-Pacific Economic Framework had their own economic interest involved or they had joined the alliance just to support and come closer to the US? He was delivering an extension lecture at the Department of Business Administration, Aligarh Muslim University on “Emerging Geopolitical and Geoeconomic realities”.

He talked about the post-Covid changes in the supply chain of China and stated the fact that after Covid-19, its trade crossed 100 billion dollars.

He described the Quadrilateral Security Dialogue (QUAD Summit) that started in 2007 and stated that at the recent summit held on 24 May 2022, India showed interest in QUAD 2.0 to enhance trade strategies.

Prof. Saboohi Nasim made the opening remarks, while Prof. Jamal A. Farooquie, Chairperson of the department welcomed the guest speaker.

Dr. Ahmad Faraz Khan extended the vote of thanks and Mr. Hammad Tariq conducted the programme.
