Extension Lecture on ‘Euro-Dollar Market: Some Empirical Issues’
Aligarh: The Department of Economics , AMU organised University Extension Lecture on ‘Euro-Dollar Market: Some Empirical Issues’ which was delivered by economist Prof Khan Masood Ahmad (Former Vice-Chancellor, Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti Language University), on 16th March . In his deliberation Prof. Ahmad provided an extensive coverage of the Euro-dollar market, its formation, working, significance, its relation with other markets and how it affects the functioning of the international financial system and hence, economies.
He covered the political aspect associated with the Euro-dollar market and how international politics shaped the structure of the Euro-dollar market. Prof. Ahmad also deliberated on the possible research areas and provided extensive sources for data collection to conduct research in this field. He indicated that there are both advantages and disadvantages associated with the Euro-dollar market.
Prof Nisar Ahmad Khan, Coordinator, University Extension Lectures, gave the inaugural address while Prof Md. Abdus Salam, Chairman, Department of Economics while conducting the proceedings presented the welcome address.
The lecture was attended by a large number of students, research scholars, guests and faculty members of the department.
