FAAA President meets AMU VC for Strengthening Ties
Aligarh : Dr. Naushad Khan Ghilzai, President of the Federation of Aligarh Alumni Associations (FAAA), recently visited the Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) campus and met with Vice-Chancellor Prof. Naima Khatoon to discuss topics of mutual interest”.
The meeting, also attended by Prof. Sufiyan Beg, Chairman of Alumni Affairs at AMU, focused on identifying key initiatives that FAAA could support to further enhance the university’s academic and institutional goals.
During the discussion, Dr. Ghilzai shared insights from the recently concluded 23rd FAAA Convention, held in Atlanta, USA. The convention highlighted the global commitment of AMU alumni to support the university’s vision of excellence in education and research. Dr. Ghilzai emphasised FAAA’s role in promoting professional and academic partnerships between AMU and its alumni worldwide.
Vice-Chancellor Dr. Naima Khatoon in her welcome note, appreciated FAAA’s continued support for AMU’s development. She emphasised the university’s commitment to expanding its global outreach and strengthening ties with alumni to create more opportunities for students and faculty alike. “Alumni engagement is crucial for the growth of our institution, and FAAA has consistently played a vital role in this effort,” she remarked.
Prof. Sufiyan Beg discussed potential collaborations between AMU and FAAA, including scholarships, research grants, and infrastructure development projects. He highlighted the significance of alumni-driven initiatives that directly benefit AMU students and contribute to the university’s mission.
Dr. Ghilzai, also visited Public Relations Office where he was presented a commemorative AMU plaque to mark the occasion.
