Faculty of Engineering International Scholarships Postgraduate 2022/23

 

The University of Strathclyde , Glasgow offers a number of scholarships for its Faculty of Engineering applicants joining postgraduate taught and postgraduate research programmes in academic year 2022/23.

All self-funded, international (non-EU) fee-paying offer holders with strong academic qualifications are encouraged to apply. Please note – you must hold an offer to a full-time postgraduate taught degree programme starting in September 2022 or January 2023 before your scholarship application will be considered. If applying for postgraduate research programme you must start during the 2022/23 academic year.

 

If you’re applying for a postgraduate taught degree programme, you’ll receive a scholarship award equivalent to a 15% reduction of your tuition fees, which will typically be £3,460.

In addition to this, the university also has a limited number of Dean’s International Excellence Awards for its postgraduate taught applicants. These scholarships are worth £5,000 and £8,000 and will be offered to exceptional applicants at postgraduate taught level only. Applicants need to only submit one application and will be considered for all levels of postgraduate taught scholarships.

 

If you’re applying for postgraduate research degree programme, you’ll receive a scholarship award equivalent to a 15% reduction of your tuition fees for each year of study. Postgraduate research degree applicants can apply year round for the scholarships.

 

If you are studying a two year MSc programme, you will receive a 15% scholarship for your first year only. The amount varies for selected programmes with a different tuition fee, including programmes within Architecture & Biomedical Engineering.

Level of Study- Postgraduate Taught, Postgraduate Research

Eligibility –Postgraduate Taught-To be considered for the Faculty of Engineering International Scholarship applicants should have a 2:1 (or equivalent) in their undergraduate degree.

Deadline – The deadline for applicants applying to study a postgraduate taught programme in September 2022 is 9 September 2022. The deadline for applicants applying to study in January 2023 is 13 January 2023.

 

Eligibility -Dean’s International Excellence Awards

In order to be considered for a Dean’s International Excellence Award, students are required to demonstrate academic excellence (usually a UK first class undergraduate degree or international equivalent), and the potential both to make a significant contribution to the Strathclyde community during their studies and in their chosen profession upon graduation (assessed by information provided in the scholarship application form). The deadline for applications for the Dean’s International Excellence Award is 31 May 2022.
