Farewell Fiestas at AMU ABK High School

Aligarh: Farewell parties were organised at AMU ABK High School Girls and AMU ABK High School Boys for the outgoing batches of class X. The event featured cultural performances by the students including Qawwali, Bhangra, cultural dance and theme based dance.

At AMU ABK High School Girls, Fatima Imteyaz was crowned as Miss Farewell, while Mugdha Singh , Alfia  and Gauri were declared the first, second and third runners up.

The Chief Guest of the programme, Dr. Faiza Abbasi, Director, UGC HRDC, AMU appreciated various performances by the students. She congratulated the students and teachers for arranging a wonderful farewell and exhorted the students to shape their future in such a manner that they become an important and contributing part of the society.

The Principal Dr. Samina in her address urged the students to work hard in order to get good scores in the upcoming board exams.

Earlier, Dr. Saba Hasan, Vice Principal, felicitated the Chief Guest and Guest of Honour, Dr. Samina. Dr Farhat Parveen, coordinator of school presented a vote of thanks.

The AMU ABK High School Boys was decorated with flowers, balloons and flags for the farewell programme. The students performed skits, presented dance and songs and delivered speeches.

The head boy, Abdul Rehan, Arsalan Ahmad Farooqui and Ghulam Ghaus Khan, the students of class X delivered speeches.

There was a Farewell Contest for the students of class X. The most prestigious award of the school Mr. ABK was conferred to Arsalan Ahmad Farooqui. The student of the year award was presented to Ghulam Ghaus Khan while Mr. farewell was bestowed to Muhammad Aouz. Rishank Gaur was declared Mr. Evening, while Mr. sports award was given to Arham Usmani.

The Chief Guest, Prof. Qudsia Tahseen, Deputy Director, DSE, AMU motivated the students and wished them all the best for their future endeavours and reminded them of the dreams of Sir Syed Ahmad Khan that one should not only be good in academics but also a good human being.

The Principal, Dr. Samina in her speech highlighted the importance of discipline in their future life and motivated them with her inspirational words.

The event ended with the distribution of mementoes and refreshments to all the students of the outgoing batch.
