FAROZAAN 1.0 concludes at Indira Gandhi Hall

Aligarh : The Indira Gandhi Hall organized its annual hall week,” Farozaan” to celebrate the G-20 Summit presidency.  It showcased students’ talent and penchant for on Islamic, Literary, Cultural and Sports activities.

 

The Provost of Indira Gandhi Hall, Prof Sheeba Hamid motivated girls to actively participate in the Hall week and shared some anecdotes to inspire the students to   explore their potential to the optimum.

 

On the first day,” Ibtida-e-Farozaan” two competitions, “Naat Competition” and “Islamic Quiz Competition” was held. A skit was performed by the residents of Indira Gandhi Hall. “Ibtida-e-Farozaan” came to an end with the prize distribution ceremony for the winners of the Islamic Quiz and Naat Competition along with Selfie Point Making, Painting, and Solo Singing competitions.

 

On day two several   literary competitions on self composed poetry recitation; power-point presentation and extempore speech were organised.. The participants cast a spell on the gathering by their soulful poetry, eloquence and impromptu skills. PowerPoint Presentations enthralled the audience. In their speeches, guests and judges expressed delight in witnessing the event and praised the efforts of the students.  The winners of literary competitions were awarded with trophies and certificates.

 

Many off-stage competitions ‘Hair-do’, ‘Healthy Salad’ and ‘Beverage Making’ were held on the day three. The on-stage competitions were ‘Solo Singing’, ‘Stand-up Comedy’ and ‘Dupatta Styling’. The Cultural day showcased the vibrant and colorful talents of residents and Non Residents of IG Hall.

 

Sports Competitions started on the fourth day with the lighting of the Torch by the Provost of IG Hall followed by various indoor and outdoor games which were conducted simultaneously. The indoor games were Chess, Carom, and Ludo. The outdoor games were a 100m race followed by a 200m race. The other outdoor games organized for the day were Basketball, Volleyball and Tug-of-war.

 

In a concluding remark the Provost Prof. Sheeba appreciated the team of wardens for a successful hall week.
