New Delhi: FC Goa is committed in its fight against the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), and the club is taking necessary steps to arrest the spread of the dangerous disease.

With the help and support of Mr. Ashish Kapadia, Managing Director, Delta Corp Ltd. and in the presence of Mr. Michael Lobo, Minister of Waste Management, Science and Technology, Port and Rural Development of Goa, FC Goa President Akshay Tandon, on behalf of the club, distributed medical testing kits and personal protective equipment for doctors and nurses to a few hospitals in Calangute, Candolim and Mapusa.

“Smaller hospitals and clinics also require the necessary equipment to deal with the spread of the virus. We are simply doing our civic duty and on behalf of FC Goa and the Deltin Group, are identifying the hospitals and clinics that require the kits and are unable to procure them. We are happy to continue providing them with the same till they are able to source the necessary equipment themselves. I want to thank the doctors and nurses for their support during this period as their contribution cannot be overstated at this time,” said Akshay Tandon, President, FC Goa

The club, within its own capacity, shall continue to take the requisite measures to restrict the spread of the virus, and urges everyone to stay home, stay safe and follow governmental guidelines.
