FDP on emotional well-being and maintaining work-life balance organised at CGC Landran
Chandigarh College of Hospitality (CCH), CGC Landran in association with Bhrma Foundation organised a three-day FDP on emotional well-being for its faculty members, in campus. More than 25 participants attended the programme. The core objective of the event was to make the participants suitably equipped with techniques and lifestyle tips that would help them maintain a good work-life balance leading to better stress management. CCH, CGC Landran has been regularly conducting such programmes and workshops for both its students and faculty members. “The intent behind organising these sessions is to help our teachers in becoming more productive and in sync with their emotions, which goes a long way in helping manage stress. This would further enable them to engage more effectively with their students and mentees,” said Dr. Rajeev R Mishra, Director-Principal, CCH, CGC Landran.
Helmed by Satinder Pal Singh, Founder, Bhrma Foundation, the workshop over the period of three days included several activities conducted by team Bhrma. These included an expert talk by psychologist Arshdeep Kaur, yoga sessions by yoga instructor Saloni Thapar, meditation sessions by fitness expert & boxing coach Suraj Kabir Verma and dance formats by choreographers Zanat Sood and Sargam Sharma.
Appreciating CGC Landran for hosting this FDP, Satinder Pal Singh hoped that it would be helpful to the participants. He said, “Given the hectic lifestyle most of us lead today, we forget to give time to ourselves. This often leads to burnouts which may then cause undue stress, anxiety or even depression. Through collaborative efforts such as this FDP we aim to remind everyone that the power to overcome stress and lead better lives lies within us and that we sometimes need gentle guidance in the form of a counsellor, therapist, or a life coach, to explore the same.”
The FDP concluded with a valedictory ceremony felicitating the programme conveners from Bhrma Foundation and CCH, CGC Landran.
