Felicitation programme held for job fair, Sairaab

ALIGARH:  The Training and Placement Office (General), Aligarh Muslim University organized a one-day recruitment fair for the students of the university, Sairaab, and felicitated the coordinators and co-coordinators for their role in successful organization of the event.

 

Addressing the valedictory ceremony, AMU Pro-Vice Chancellor, Prof Mohammad Gulrez appreciated the efforts of the TPO-General for organizing the job fair and securing more than 160 placements for the university students in different companies.

 

He said such events should be organized regularly as they not only help our students secure placement, but also help them gauge their career goals and make preparations accordingly. He said placements do help in the advancement of university’s ranking.

 

Organizing Secretary, Sairaab and Assistant TPO, Dr. Jahangir Alam said the TPO volunteers are the backbone of this office and their support and coordination is overwhelming. He said such events help bridge the gap between academia and industry.

 

The Co-Convenor, Sairaab and Assistant TPO, Dr. Muzamil Mushtaq highlighted the various activities undertaken by the TPO-General and the efforts it is making for career growth and development of AMU students. He said events like Sairaab will help develop a strong bond of AMU with the corporate world.

 

Kaynaat Fazil Khan delivered a comprehensive report of Sairaab highlighting that over 1200 registrations were made for the recruitment fair, more than 700 students participated and more than 160 students got the offers from 24 companies.

AMU students, Yatendra Chaudhary and Arshi Zaheer shared their participation experience of Sairaab.

 

A documentary film of Sairaab, showcasing the various events that unfolded during the Sairaab was also screened.

 

Sabiha Akil conducted the programme while Innama Naqvi extended a vote of thanks.
