Fifth session of the international BRIDGE project in Alta

The 5th online session of internships for students on solving business cases was held within the framework of the joint international ENI project “BRIDGE – Barents Region Initiative for the Development of Economic Growth and Promotion of Employment”.
So, on the basis of the Arctic University of Norway, the fifth session of the international educational project BRIDGE: Barents Region Initiative for Developing Growth and Employability was organized. The online session was attended by 47 people: 30 students (16 – Russian, 14 – foreign); 12 “coach-trainers” (4 – Russian, 4 from the Finnish and Norwegian sides) and 5 Norwegian commissioners.

The ENI project “BRIDGE – Barents Region Initiative for the Development of Economic Growth and Employment Promotion” is part of the CBC “Kolarctic” cross-border cooperation program (2014-2020). Project partner participants: Petrozavodsk University, Arctic University of Norway (lead partner), Lapland University of Applied Sciences (Finland), Murmansk Arctic State University and ITMO University (St. Petersburg).

In the 5th session of the BRIDGE project, case studies were solved for the companies of the Norwegian tourism industry: Sorrisniva, Hasvik, Spor Guiding, Flatmoen Nature and Sami Aurora. The Norwegian students introduced the participants of the session to these companies and presented their video presentation . To solve the cases, 8 international teams of students were formed. Teams need to solve all sorts of tasks: finding channels for promoting a company in Russia, developing a mobile application, designing a campground, and many others. The final presentation of the projects is scheduled for April 29, 2021 in the format of a video conference.

The session for students was also conducted by Finnish colleagues: Anitra Arkko-Saukkonen and Angelika Krastina using the author’s methodology “Creative Steps”. The training is designed to rally teams and prepare for presentations of final cases.

PetrSU was represented in the online session by: Andrey Chuvak (1st year undergraduate student in Economics and Finance), Ekaterina Moseeva (3rd year bachelor in Tourism) and Elizaveta Krasovskaya (1st course, the direction of training “Tourism”). The curator of the students is Oksana Prokhorova, Associate Professor of the Department of Economic Theory and Management of the Institute of Economics and Law.
