Films Division isl paying tribute to Khan Abdul Ghaffar Khan, famously known as ‘Frontier Gandhi’ on his 132nd birth anniversary on 6th February 2022. A legendary freedom fighter, a strong believer in the unity of India and above all a staunch Gandhian, his life and yeoman services will be recalled by streaming a biopic, The Frontier Gandhi (Badshah Khan) on FD website and YouTube Channel. The screening is a part of ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’ celebration by the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Government of India.
The Frontier Gandhi (Badshah Khan) (1985/Ramesh Patel) is a Black and White documentation of the life and works of Khan Abdul Ghaffar Khan. From his childhood days in the undivided Punjab province to the establishment of Khudai Khidmatgar movement (the Servants of God), he lived a truly inspiring life and made notable contribution to the Indian independence struggle. His uncompromising integrity and total commitment to the path of non-violence and a belief in a united India is resonated through the biopic.
