Finance Club, NIT Rourkela organises FINOTSAV 2.0, hosted 1000 students as a part of Jan Bhagidari event

The second edition of FINOTSAV was conducted by Finance Club (Student Activity Centre, NIT Rourkela). The event witnessed a participation of 1000 students (400 offline + 600 online) from several institutions and local schools in Rourkela. The events aimed at promoting financial literacy among young students.

A fintech quiz, an IPL auction, a finance debate, essay writing, financial-related contests and activities etc. were conducted. The guest lecture by CA Bisworanjan Sutar (SRB & Associates) was also given on topic “Unleashing the World of Finance” to instruct students on how to pursue a career in finance after engineering.
Abhinandan Mishra, president of the Finance Club, expressed his gratitude for the huge response and said “The team of FINOTSAV 2.0 is proud to conduct this event as a part of Jan Bhagidari programme. We are overwhelmed with the response we received. The club members & coordinators have really worked hard to make this event a success. This has helped us to catalyse the aim to spread Financial Literacy in and around Rourkela. Finance Club now has over 100 active members who are helping the college’s 600 finance enthusiasts.” Club manager Shivam Dubey thanked the Student Activity Centre, NIT Rourkela for their ongoing support and pledged to make the upcoming season even more spectacular.

As a nodal institute to promote G20 Jan Bhagidari events, Student Clubs of NIT Rourkela is organizing various events regularly aiming to include more young participation from Rourkela and region nearby.
