Fit India Campaign: DDC flags off Marathon run at Doda

Doda: A marathon run was today organized here under the Fit India Campaign, which aims at generating awareness among the common masses about value of healthy life style.

District Development Commissioner, Dr Sagar D Doifode flagged off the Marathon run, which started from Sports Stadium and passed through Dessa Chowk, Dak Bungalow, and culminated at Ganpat bridge Pull Doda.

The DDC alongwith other officers from Police and Civil administration too participated in the marathon along with around 600 students including girls and boys from different schools and age groups.

The DDC highlighted the importance of physical and mental fitness in the development of healthy society. He said that the main objective of organizing this awareness rally is to sensitize the common masses especially youth about the Fit India campaign launched by the Government of India.
