Fit India Quiz for Schools; CEOs, Heads of Institutions asked to register, prepare students for National level competition
JAMMU : Directorate of School Education Jammu has directed Chief Education Officers and Heads of Institutions to register and prepare the students for participating in Fit India Quiz being launched under the Fit India Mission of Union Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports from September 2021 in all States and Union territories of India to create awareness about India’s rich sporting & fitness spirit among school students to showcase their knowledge, talent about fitness & sports before entire nation.
This Fit India Quiz is the first-ever National Level Quiz to be telecasted on India’s Star Sports & many other National TV Channels which will provide the students an opportunity to win total cash prizes worth more than Rs 3.25 Crores. The Quiz will be of following phases/rounds:
The quiz will have 4 rounds with School Round-to be conducted by schools for registrations; Preliminary Round- to be conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA); State Round-to be conducted by States/UTs with support of Fit India Mission and National Round- grand event to be Hosted by Fit India Icon which includes Quarter-finals, Semi-finals, and Final Rounds.
The Chief Education Officers of Jammu division have been directed to ensure its wide publicity among all schools via various social media platforms, websites, school whatsapp groups, twitter, press notes, tag Fit India Team and encourage mass registrations of schools & participation of students from classes 8th to 12th ( Govt & Pvt) in Jammu division and make this national event a grand success.
The CEOs have also been instructed to issue immediate necessary instructions to all heads of schools (HSS/HS/MS) of summer as well as winter zones of Jammu division to register selected potential students from schools and implement in letter & spirit.
They have been further asked to share contact Nos/Emails of DNOs Fit India to all concerned schools in the districts for facilitating schools/participating students for purpose and furnish weekly status report from the districts for the action taken in the matter which has to be submitted to this directorate on Fit India Email Id at [email protected].
