Five days online TTP concludes at GDC Kilam

Kilam: The five days international Teacher Training Program (TTP) themed ‘Strong Belief and Sound Character through Science and Islam: 5D Thinking Approach’ concluded smoothly at Government Degree College (GDC), Kilam.

The program was a joint venture of GDC Kilam and the Nursi Society Turkey, organised with a purpose to train teachers about using 5D thinking approach as a novel epistemological and pedagogical way in teaching science to read the book of the universe.

The program that commenced from January 11 culminated on January 15 and was attended by participants from different countries.

Principal GDC, Kilam Prof. Dilruba Rasool Hamadani cordially welcomed all the participants and the honorable guests from Turkey and India. The Principal also extended a warm welcome to the chief guest of the occasion Director Colleges Jammu and Kashmir, Peerzada Mohammad Yousuf.

Director Colleges during his address spoke on the importance of five dimensional thinking approach. He stated that sacralizing the treasure of scientific knowledge is truly the need of the hour.

President of Nursi Society, Dr. AlparslanAcikgenc , Vice President of Nursi Society, Dr. Necati Aydin, Professor (retired) of Islamic Thought, Durham University, UK, Dr. Colin Turner (Ph.D. in Islamic Studies), Dr. Yunus Cengel,(Professor Emeritus at the University of Nevada, US) and Dr. Nadina Kamal delivered their presentations and engaged the participants in the most lucid and professional manner.

HOD Political Science and the coordinator of the program, Professor, Sheikh Javaid Ayub, presented the vote of thanks to all the participants and the guests from Turkey.
