Flinders University: Solid base performance in THE rankings

Flinders University’s performance improved in key areas of the 2023 Times Higher Education World University Rankings (WUR) including teaching, research, international outlook, and reputation.

However, while our overall ranking slipped by one band, putting us in 300-350 in the world band, Vice-Chancellor Professor Colin Stirling says Flinders’ outlook remains very positive.

“The path to success is rarely a straight line and this is just a bump in the road. We remain committed to our vision to excel in education and research.

“Our performance over time demonstrates steady growth and while this easing in our overall ranking is unexpected, our fundamental indicators are solid. We remain in the top 2% of universities globally and determined to further improve.

“Our recent impressive growth in research, despite the disruptions of the pandemic, is a sign of our core strength, and while the impacts of the pandemic aren’t yet behind the sector, we’re pleased to note improvement in key ranking measures, which augers well for our future advancement” Professor Stirling says.
