Floriculture Department starts Yoga Classes at Bagh-e-Bahu Garden
JAMMU : To promote healthy lifestyle among the common masses, the Department of Floriculture Parks & Gardens Jammu has started Yoga classes at Bagh-e-Bahu Jammu in collaboration with Department of Youth Services & Sports Jammu.
The event was inaugurated by Director, Floriculture Parks & Gardens Jammu S. Jatinder Singh, in presence of Yoga instructor, Rakesh Bandral, officers and staff of Floriculture Department.
Speaking on the occasion, the Director Floriculture said that the initiative of conducting Yoga classes has been taken on the direction of the Chief Secretary issued during his recent visit to Bagh-e-Bahu Garden. He stressed upon holding similar events in other districts so that people can adopt a healthy lifestyle amid their busy schedule.
The event was organized under the guidance of Commissioner/Secretary, Floriculture Parks & Gardens Jammu. The Yoga classes shall commence from April 13, 2022 for one month.
Assistant Floriculture Officer, Bagh-e-Bahu, Purnima Bajala informed that the registration forms are available at ticket counter no. 1 of Bagh-e-Bahu w.e.f. 12-04-2022 and Yoga classes are being conducted free of cost.
Floriculture Officer Jammu, Vikrant Kumar extended vote of thanks to all the participants.
