25 thousand Children set World Record by singing ‘Vaishnav Jan To Tene Kahiye’ Bhajan in Chhindwara

Bhopal : During the historic yatra set out to commemorate the completion of 99 years of non-cooperation movement of Gandhiji, as many as 25 thousand school children created a new history by singing Gandhiji’s favourite bhajan ‘ Vaishnav Jan To Tene Kahiye’ in presence of the Chief Minister Shri Kamal Nath in Chhindwara. A World record has been set by the children by singing Gandhiji’s bhajan in such a massive strength during the Gandhi Pravas Shatabdi Samaroh. A certificate of the record was presented to the Chief Minister by the South Asia Head of Golden Book of World Record Shri Alok Kumar.

Children should adopt culture of connecting people not dividing

The Chief Minister Shri Kamal Nath told the children that if our social and family values are not protected with the strength of unity in the diversity of India, India’s future will be endangered. The Chief Minister told the children to adopt the culture of connecting not dividing. Support truth and identify it. He said that we have to adopt Gandhiji’s views. We have to strengthen the unity and integrity of our country by following Gandhiji’s principles, he added.

World acknowledges India’s greatness

The Chief Minister Shri Kamal Nath addressing the Shatabdi Pravas Samaroh held on the completion of 99 years of Gandhiji’s Chhindwara visit, said that with the freedom, India has inherited a country, which enchants the whole world with its fragrance as a bouquet, despite its diverse culture, religion, language, attire and different living habits. He said that the whole world looks at our specialty with surprise. The world acknowledges the greatness of India because all of us stand in solidarity under one flag even with so many diversities.

The Chief Minister told the children that their education is limited only to school and college but they will acquire knowledge throughout their lives. The Chief Minister said that this knowledge alone will make them powerful and efficient and will keep future of the country safe.

Progress of Chhindwara will bring fame in country

The Chief Minister said that today Chhindwara holds a different image not in the state only but in the country too. If we go in the past, we will see altogether adverse scenario in comparison to the development which is seen in Chhindwara today. He further mentioned that Patal Kot was such a backward area of Chhindwara, from where people used to walk for three hours to get salt. Now life, living condition and everything is changed there. Shri Kamal Nath stated that as a public representative he has dedicated all his youth for development and progress of Chhindwara. He further mentioned that the progress of Chhindwara will bring fame in the whole country when the medical, agriculture and horticulture college get ready here.

The Minister for Higher Education Shri Jeetu Patwari said that the views of Mahatma Gandhi, the Father of the Nation, arouse the spirit of patriotism in us. Minister for School Education Dr. Prabhuram Chowdhary said that books of Gandhian Philosophy have been provided in all schools to make youth aware of Mahatma Gandhi’s views.

Gandhian Thinker and Convener of Jai Jagat Yatra Shri P.V. Rajgopal said that we will have to remember Ba-Bapu and follow the path shown by them if we want peace in the country. He appreciated the efforts of the Chief Minister Shri Kamal Nath for conveying Gandhiji’s views to young children and youth. He said only Gandhiji’s path of truth, non-violence, simplicity and honesty can save the world.

The Member of Parliament Shri Nakul Nath said that the programme organized on completion of 99 years of Gandhiji’s visit to Chhindwara is historic. He said the future of Chhindwara is going to be even brighter in the coming times. This district is known for skill development all over the world. It is also rich in the field of education. There is a college in every block along with eight Kendriya Vidyalayas. Now, medical, agricultural and horticulture colleges are also going to start here. All of us and the Chief Minister are making efforts to establish Chhindwara as a hub in the education and medical sector in the whole Central India.

World Record of Gandhiji’s favourite Bhajan set

In the programme, the Chief Minister Shri Kamal Nath, Ministers, MP Shri Nakul Nath along with 25 thousand school children created the World Record by singing together the favourite bhajan of Gandhiji. On this occasion, the Chief Minister honoured 40 winners of quiz competitions held in various schools on the life of Gandhiji with shawl and citations. As many as one lakh children participated in the competition. Tanay Soni, student of Government Excellence School and Tuba Hayat Khan of P.G. College Chhindwara delivered lecture on personality and accomplishments of Gandhiji.

The Chief Minister inaugurated photo exhibition related to life journey and Chhindwara visit of Mahatma Gandhi. On the occasion of 150th birth anniversary of Gandhiji, the Spanish Padyatri Dr. Harrier Niyon of Jai Jagat Yatra, which is being set out in 11 countries including the state to spread views of Gandhi ji, presented self-composed song ‘Jai Jagat-Jai Jagat Pukare Ja’ focusing the culture of unity in diversity of India. Padma Shri Dr. Sunil Jogi sang songs composed on the life of Gandhiji. On this occasion, a short film in connection to Mahatma Gandhi’s visit to Chhindwara and development of Chhindwara was also exhibited.

The Minister for Public Health Engineering Shri Sukhdev Panse, Minister for Tribal Welfare Shri Omkar Singh Markam, Former Minister Shri Deepak Saxena, MLAs of the district, other public representatives and children in large number were present during the programme.
