Forest division Ramban conducts plantation drive at Hochak Pogal

Ramban : Forest Department Ramban, in collaboration with Indian Army, today organized a plantation drive under JK Green Drive, here at Panchayat Hochak.

The drive aimed at improving the green cover in the area besides, sensitizing the masses about the importance of environment conservation for preventing climate change.

Divisional Forest Officer, Ramban, Dr. Rajan Singh; Range Officer, Altaf Hussain Wani; Sarpanches and Panches, Army personnel, students and general public participated in the plantation drive.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Rajan Singh urged the locals to participate in the plantation drives. He also sought help from PRIs, NGOs and the general public to protect green gold for the next generations just like their own wealth.

In his address, Sarpanch, Teerath Singh lauded the efforts of the Forest Department for putting in strenuous efforts for the success of the plantation drive.
