Forest Rights Act: Training imparted to Panchayat Level Committees in Rajouri

Rajouri: Training was imparted to Panchayat Level Forest Committees in Rajouri to ensure the effective implementation of various provisions of the Forest Right Act in the district.

The participants were made aware of various provisions of the act and briefed about their roles like receiving the claims, passing resolution on such claims and forwarding the same to the sub divisional level committees for the preparation of records of the forest rights. They were asked to work with dedication to ensure the successful implementation of various provisions of the act on ground level.

The training of the concerned officers of different departments and the resource persons of the RDD, Forest and Revenue has already been conducted. The field functionaries of these departments who have already been sensitised about the act are imparting training to the forest Panchayat level committees.
