Free Health Camp at Faridpur Village
Aligarh : Health care workers provided the residents of Faridpur village with free medical advice and medicines and referred them for free-of-cost specialized treatments in the health camp of the Centre of Continuing and Adult Education and Extension (CCAEE), Aligarh Muslim University (AMU).
The camp was organised in collaboration with the Department of Community Medicine, Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College (JNMC), AMU.
Inaugurating the camp, the Chief Guest, Dr Hamida Tariq (well-known pediatrician) said, “These camps promote health awareness and I am sure that the residents of Faridpur will hugely benefit with early detection of health issues through medical tests and consultations in the camp”.
She also consulted patients in the health camp.
Prof Mohammad Gulrez (AMU Pro Vice Chancellor and Director, CCAEE) said that these programmes are our civic responsibility and it is imperative that we keep extending to the people in rural areas through medical expertise and knowledge.
The Guest of Honour, Prof Naima Khatoon conveyed gratitude to the villagers for their cooperation and pressed the need for more such outreach programmes.
Prof Aysha Munira Rasheed (Deputy Director, CCAEE) said that free health camps in rural areas will help our villagers live a healthier and better life in the post-pandemic world.
Prof Saira Mehnaz (Chairperson, Department of Community Medicine), Dr Ali Jafar Abedi, Dr Sameena, Dr Mohit Sharma and Dr Sumaiya provided free medical advice and medicines to over 150 Faridpur residents.
Dr Shamim (CCAEE) conducted the program.
