DOHA: The AMU Alumni Association Qatar an (AO) of ICBF under aegis of Indian Embassy Qatar and Toastmasters International, organized the Free medical Health camp as a part of India@75(Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav) on the occasion of International Labour day in association with Abeer Medical Centre on (Friday) 05th May 2023.

To recognize the hard work of blue collar workers on the occasion of International Labour Day, AMU Alumni Association QATAR which is an associate organization of ICBF under the patronage of Indian Embassy held a free health camp in partnership with Abeer Medical Center, Industrial area Doha.
The health camp which was the first in a series of weekly free health camps to be held on 5th, 12th and 19th May was inaugurated by Mr Abdulla Ahmad Al Mohannadi, legal Advisor in Ministry of Labour who also graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.
Mr Al Mohannadi, inspected the facility and interacted with the team of doctors, nursing staff, volunteers and blue collar workers. He lauded the community service initiative of AMUAAQ and praised the Abeer Medical Center management.
Earlier Dr Nithyanand, group director of Abeer Medical Group, Qatar welcomed the Chief Guest with bouquet of flowers. Dr Nadeem Jilani, President of AMUAAQ thanked the Chief Guest for his presence and appreciated Abeer Medical Center’s help in providing their infrastructure for this noble cause. Jawed Ahmad chairman AMUAAQ briefed about the AMUAAQ mission & vision and about four subdivision, Others who spoke on the occasion included ICBF Vice President, Mr. Deepak Shetty, Mr Sanjiv Sharma, Board member of AMUAAQ, Dr Ashna Nusrat VP, Ladies wing of AMUAAQ, while M. Faisal Naseem (VP), M.Farman Khan (GS), Imaduddin Ahmad MC members of AMUAAQ and Mr. Verkey Boban (ICBF) also graced the events with other community leaders.
Abeer Medical Center also launched a privilege card on this occasion which will offer holders of the card up to 25% discount on its services.
Earlier long queue of workers were seen from 7 am to take advantage of the free health screening which offered free blood sugar, cholesterol and serum uric acid check in addition to full medical check up. Specialist from dental surgery, ENT, Orthopedic, cardiology and internal medicine offered their service free which included staff from Abeer Medical Center as well AMUAAQ health care team led by Dr Syed Intekhab Alam. Others who volunteered for the camp included Dr Sikandar Aftab, Dr Imteyaz Salim, Dr Nadeem Jilani, Dr. Ashna.
The initiative was supported by Singh Sewa Group, Overseas Friends Welfare Association (OFWA), Nepalese Workers Welfare Association (NWWA), ICBF and AMU Alumni Toastmasters Club.
