Free pacemaker camp on July 5

ALIGARH : The Department of Cardiology, J N Medical College, Aligarh Muslim University is organizing a Pacemaker Camp on July 5, 2023 from 9 am onwards in OPD 14 of Super specialty Block to check the patients for device functioning and interrogate them and detect any possible problem.

Prof. Asif Hasan, Chairman of the department said that any patient who has been implanted Pacemaker or a similar device (AICD/CRT-D) by our team or at any other hospital can register in advance and come on the day with proper records and documents.

He said that the pacemaker / devices are reset according to programming parameters and battery replacement is suggested if battery depletion is detected.

He said that the programme will not only help in catering to patients in Aligarh district free of any charges but also create awareness about the devices. Pacemaker programmes have academic value and help the DM students to get trained with device functioning and manage the patient well.
