From Beirut, the Arab Regional Technical Meeting on Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) for 2030

The UNESCO Beirut Office held the Arab Regional Technical Meeting on Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) for 2030 online, on June 9th, 2021, as a follow-up to the UNESCO World Conference on Education for Sustainable Development, which was held on 17-19 May, 2021. The webinar welcomed more than 370 participants coming from the region and all over the world.

Experts from UNESCO Beirut Office and the Ban Ki-Moon Center, government officials from Lebanon, Jordan, Oman and Syria, and a youth representative from Organisation De Developpement Durable (ODDD) brought up informative and insightful presentations and discussions around the prospect of leveraging ESD for 2030 in the Arab region.
