G20 GEN FORUM: ED CONCLAVE 2023 focuses on digital transformation in education

Bengaluru : Tech Avant-Garde (TAG), which is known for its personalised and engaging educational experience for students by seamlessly integrating online and offline learning platforms, along with CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) and Microsoft, hosted the biggest-ever community outreach program called “G20 GEN FORUM: ED CONCLAVE 2023” on Friday. Attended by over 600 schools and renowned educationists and academicians, the conclave aimed at assisting schools to get implemented under the government’s social schooling project, called the “Carte Blanche Program”. The first day of the conclave was held at the Cariappa Hall in Bengaluru.

The inaugural day of the conclave was graced by the attendance of renowned educationists and academicians from national level educational bodies and other prestigious organizations, such as Dr. T G Sitharam, Chairman of AICTE, Dr. Biswajit Saha, Director of CBSE, Dr. Raj Nehru, Vice chancellor SVSU and Dr. Madhu Ahluwalia, Senior Advisor of QCI NABET. These dignitaries provided insights on Hybrid Learning, Digital Literacy, Skill Development, which will help the schools to implement under the Carte Blanche Program.

Speaking during the conclave, Dr. RP Singh, Joint Secretary of CBSE, quoted, “A recent survey talked about 85% of teachers believe technology has a good impact on education and 62% believe that the best use of technology is the supplement to the teaching method but not a replacement. Students remember 5% when they are taught through traditional methods but they remember 70% when taught through technology and practical.”

Dr. Biswajit Saha, Director of Skill Development of CBSE, said, “The concept initiated by CBSE is to create a co-hold in different parts of the country for all colleges and Universities to link with the schools and help them with Hybrid education. Bangalore Saodaya has already started an Innovative way of learning. By July – August if the infrastructure setup is ready then by September, we’ll see a new beginning of CBSE. As per the new education policy, CBSE has 30 skill modules. I request all industries open more opportunities for internships.”

CBSE has selected 840 pilot schools from all over India, located in 764 districts, and enrolled them in the “Carte Blanche” which is a “Social Schooling Project”. The results were to focus on Digital Transformation in education and the adoption of NEP 2020. The major objective of the conclave was to work on the framework and execution of future classrooms which will contain immersive quality education, connected digitally, access technology in local languages, and professional development of teachers and students.

Mr Ali Sait, CEO of TAG, said, “This summit has been incredibly educational, mentally reviving, and enlightening intellectually. The main focus of the conclave has been on transforming traditional educational institutions into Hybrid Learning environments through the adoption of digital pedagogy, training, certification, and accreditation programs, teaching-learning platforms, and hybrid learning classrooms.”
