G20 Science Summit on Clean Energy for Greener Future to begin at Agartala in Tripura
The two-day Science-20 conference under India’s G20 presidency will begin today at Agartala in Tripura. Around 75 delegates have arrived for a science conclave titled ‘clean energy for green future’ as part of the G20 meetings.
It is indeed a momentous occasion for a state like Tripura to host the delegates of the G20, and present itself on a global map. The Science conference that will begin today at the Hapania International fairground will have nine sessions on various topics. Delegates from Bangladesh are also attending the event as invitee members. Yesterday, after their arrival via a special chartered flight, the delegates were welcomed by cultural troupes at various places on their way from airport to the hotel. Later they visited the Albert Ekka War memorial and paid tributes to the martyrs, besides planted saplings. They then visited Kumari Tilla where they were mesmerised with the musical fountain show.
