Gannon University: Gannon electrical engineering faculty and alumni earn American Society for Engineering Education honors

Gannon students and faculty in the electrical engineering department traveled to the American Society for Engineering Education conference in Pittsburgh, PA, presenting projects including “Design and Construction of a Buoy to Extend Period in Lake Erie,” and “Links Among Student Club Projects, Senior Design Projects, and International Competition Projects, A Case Study.”

The latter earned Gannon’s Lin Zhao, Donald MacKellar, and alum Tenger Batjargal the third-place award for Best Poster in the conference. Batjargal is a graduate of the electrical engineering program, and he is currently an embedded systems engineer with IAM Robotics.

Ramakrishnan Sundaram took third place Best Faculty Paper Award for “Integrating Broad Background Content into an Introductory Course on Applied Artificial Intelligence.”
