Gannon University: Gannon MHA Student Honored as Woman Making History

The Mercy Center for Women has selected Gannon University second-year MHA student Katrina Byrd as one of its 2022 honorees for Women Making History. The honor was bestowed upon Katrina and 11 other Erie-area women as part of Women’s History Month. The nominees were selected for their leadership and inspiration to others.

Katrina was honored for her life story, which began in public housing in Brooklyn, New York. In addition to being a graduate student at Gannon, Katrina is now a United Way of Erie County community school director. Katrina is giving hope to Strong Vincent students and their families in similar circumstances.
