GCW Gandhi Nagar organizes poetry recitation event to celebrate Independence Day

JAMMU : Department of History of Government PG College for Women Gandhi Nagar today organised “Saga of India’s Independence”- a poetry recitation event to commemorate India’s 75th Independence Day.

The event was attended by Principal Dr. Sangeeta Nagari, other staff members and students of the college.

In her address, Principal Sangita Nagari lauded the efforts of the students and the organizing committee headed by Dr. Sujata Slathia, Prof. Mala Bhasin, Prof. Suman Bala and Prof. Abhinav Sharma for putting together such a vibrant programme where students recited poems to pay their tribute to the freedom fighters and show the love for the country.

The event was ably anchored by Amisha Sharma and Saria Shabir. The event was moderated by Prof. Abhinav Sharma and Dr. Jagmeet Kour. The event came to an end with a vote of Thanks delivered by Prof. Puja Parihar (HOD History).
