GCW Udhampur spreads awareness about water conservation

 

UDHAMPUR : Government College for Women Udhampur today presented awareness Skits to educate the students about the importance of water conservation.

The event was organised as a part of Azaadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, cherishing 75 years of Independence on the theme “Catch the Rain – Where it Falls When it Falls.”

Principal, Prof. Minu Mahajan, was the chief guest on the occasion. The Principal, in her address, threw light on the meaning of the theme “Catch the Rain – Where it Falls When it Falls” and told that Prime Minister, Narendra Modi launched The “Jal Shakti Abhiyan: Catch The Rain” campaign on 22 March 2021, the World Water Day.

The skit was not only very interesting, fun oriented but also had a very deep message for the students and common people on water saving.

Prof. Kewal Kumar, Dr. A.K. Raina, Prof. Seema, Dr. Anita Sharma, Prof Sumita Rao, Prof. Shallu Jasrotia, Prof. Suneel Singh Barheyn, Dr. Meena Gupta, Prof. Sanjeev Upadhyay and Prof Tania Mahajan were present during the occasion.
