GDC Baramulla conducts Workshop on ICT for Faculty Development
BARAMULLA : In a bid to augment and update the teaching and learning technological skills among the faculty, Govt Degree College for Women Baramulla organized a daylong workshop in the college campus with District Information Officer Baramulla Jahengir Akhoon as the chief guest.
The workshop was organised by the institution as part of activities being conducted under Teacher Enrichment Programme so as to familiarise the teaching faculty with the latest teaching methods by virtue of ICT means.
On the occasion, an array of lectures were delivered by the Resource Persons who introduced the faculty about the latest Apps of teaching, evaluation, feedback etc while providing hands-on training regarding the usage of these tools.
Speaking on the occasion, the chief guest laid emphasis on the importance of various ICT tools in the present day teaching-learning environment and said that it is equally important to ethically and legally use these resources.
He underscored the need for teachers to acquaint themselves with the new technological advancement in the teaching-learning spheres so that desired and qualitative teaching outcomes are achieved.
Principal of the College, in her address complimented the participants and said that such workshops help our teaching fraternity to acquaint themselves with the latest and modern teaching trends.
She presented an overview of the initiatives taken for teacher enrichment and assured the faculty that every possible endeavour shall be taken to update and acquire these vital skills.
