GDC Doda celebrates 73rd Republic Day

Doda: To celebrate 73rd Republic Day under Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav, the NSS and NCC (Infantry & Navy) units of Government Degree College, Doda organized a virtual pledge taking ceremony to preserve the values enshrined in the constitution. The event was organized under the able guidance and patronage of Dr. Attar Singh Kotwal, Principal of the college. About 25 students and staff members of the college participated in the event. The pledge was administered by Dr. Sumit Kotwal, NSS Programme Officer of the college. Ifra Batool of 5th Semester and Jagdeep Singh of 3rd semester presented their poetry based on patriotism in this online event. It is pertinent to mention here that, earlier in the day, the contingents of NCC (Navy) and NCC (Infantry) also participated in the march past at Sports Stadium, Doda under the supervision of Prof. Zain Batt, CTO, NCC (Navy) and Dr. Arjun Singh, CTO, NCC (Infantry). The principal of the college also participated as a guest dignitary in the Republic Day event organized by district administration of Doda.
