GDC Doda organizes Guest Lecture to celebrate National Youth Day
To commemorate the 159th birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda, an online guest lecture was organized by the NSS Unit and IQAC of the college. The event was organized under the able guidance and patronage of Dr. Attar Singh Kotwal, Principal of the college. The keynote lecture was delivered by Dr. Sunil Kumar, Associate Professor, Department of Hindi, Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar, Punjab. He is a nationally renowned personality in the field of education and social service. He highlighted the importance of this national day and deliberated upon the role of Swami Vivekananda in the awakening of national consciousness and service for the nation. He spoke in depth about the life history and teachings of Swami ji. About 70 students and volunteers joined this online event and they had an opportunity to hear the thought-provoking lecture of the guest speaker. The organization of these type of events, encourages the young minds for adoption and practice of high ideals in life. At the end of lecture, the principal of the college lauded the efforts of the NSS Unit and IQAC for organization of this event and motivated them to organize such type of events in future. The proceedings of the event were conducted by Dr. Jagmohan Sharma, HoD, Department of Hindi. The formal vote of thanks was delivered by Dr. Sumit Kotwal, NSS Programme Officer of the college. The guest lecture was attended by Dr. Ajaz Ahmed Wani (IQAC coordinator of the college), Prof. Manjeet Singh, Prof. Akrity Parihar, Prof. Zain Batt and Prof. Ravinder Singh Rana.
