GDC Doda organizes Plantation-Cum-Cleanliness Drive to celebrate Chinar Day under Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav

The NSS Unit of the college in collaboration with forest department organized Plantation of Chinar saplings in the college campus. The event began with the cleanliness drive in the college lawns by NSS volunteers of the college. It was followed by plantation of chinar sapling by Dr. Attar Singh Kotwal, Principal of the college and Adil Shan, Range Officer (HQ), Doda. He impressed upon the role of every student and faculty of the college to participate in plantation activities in their daily lives and motivated the students to follow the slogan ‘each one plant one’. He also appreciated the role of Conservator of forests, Chenab Circle for his generous and selfless support for plantation activities in the college. The event was coordinated by Dr. Sumit Kotwal, NSS Programme Officer of the college in close co-operation with the staff of forest department. About 20 NSS volunteers participated in this drive. The faculty members who participated in this drive include Prof. Babu Ram Rakwal, Prof. K.K Manhas, Dr. Ajaz A. Wani, Prof. Rakesh Kumar and Dr. Sarvjeet Singh.
