GDC Dudu Basantgarh organises Inter College Essay writing Competition
UDHAMPUR : Government Degree College Dudu Basant Garh today organised an Inter -College Essay writing competition on the topic “Quit India Movement” in connection with Ganhi Jayanti Celebrations under “Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav”.
Students of various Colleges participated in the event and described that Quit India Movement was carried out in a non violent way at the widest scale across the country. It was the most powerful mass movement in the series of agitations led by Gandhi ji. The Competition was conducted under the supervision and guidance of the Principal of the College Dr. Bhavnaish Chand.
Speaking on the occasion, the Principal said that the Quit India movement made the people of India united to fight against the cause, as a large number of people came together, formed groups, despite being beaten and imprisoned together. The students should know the value of being united as the strength of being together is enough to stand against the toughest situations, he added.
Organizing Secretary Prof. Rahul Sharma and coordinator Prof. Pradeep Kumar hosted the event to promote online activities during covid-19 pandemic situation.
Raksha Devi of B.A sem. Ist of host college bagged 1st position, while Muskan Sharma of B.A Sem. 4th of GDC Nagrota and Palma Devi of B.A sem. 2nd of GDC Dudu Basantgarh clinched 2nd and 3rd position respectively. E certificates were given to all the winners. Principal of the College congratulated the organizers and winners of the competition.
