GDC Marh hosts online Inter College poster making, essay writing competitions

Jammu: The NSS unit of Government Degree College Marh, today organized online Inter College poster Making and essay writing competitions to mark “World No Tobacco Day.”

The event was held under the supervision and guidance of College Principal Prof. Aekta Gupta. The Theme of Event was “Commit to Quit”.

NSS Officer Satish Kumar, Shallu Gupta, Asha Kumari and Sachin Kumar organized the activities in which students of various colleges participated.

In the Poster making competition, Ayush Kumar of GDC Marh, Riya Verma of Government MAM, PG College Jammu, Kajal of GDC Marh, Faiz Ahmed of GDC Kalakote were adjudged best. The consolation best entries included Priya Devi of GDC Marh, Pranshi Verma, Gagandeep Kour of GDC Marh and Rahila Kosar of GDC Thannamandi.

In English Essay writing competition, students Muskan Chib of GDC Marh, Riya Verma of Government MAM PG College Jammu, Ashish Sharma of GDC, Marh, Anjali Sharma of GDC Marheen, Shivani Mottan of GDC Marh were adjudged the best. In Hindi, Shuvam Mankotia of GDC Billawar, Sakshi Devi of GDC Marheen and Anmol Bali secured 1st, 2nd and 3rd positions respectively. Some of the students also participated in Dogri scripts Essay writing in which Meenakshi Devi of GDC Jourian, Rohit Kumar and Kajal Kumari of GDC Marh secured 1st,2nd and 3rd positions respectively.

The panel of experts for the event consisted of Anita Sharma, Convener, Madhvi Prasher, Hans Raj and Sachin Kumar.

They appreciated the enthusiasm of students. All the students will be given E-Certificates for their Performances. The programme was organized under the aegis of Azaadi ka Amrit Mahautsav.
