GDC Noweshera hosts webinar on career development

Noweshera: The career Counseling cell of Government Degree College Nowshera hosted a webinar on “Educational Opportunities and Career Development” here in collaboration with District Administration Rajouri.

Talat Parvez Rohella, Commissioner Secretary Higher Education Department was the Chief Patron, while Rajesh Kumar Shavan, District Development Commissioner, and Rahul Pandey, Director Information and Public Relations, J&K were the patrons. Narinder Kumar District Information Officer, Rajouri was the special guest.

The webinar was presided over by Dr. Surinder Kumar, Principal GDC Nowshera. He welcomed all the guests and the resource persons, Dr. Seeman Rubab and Vironika Sharma. He appreciated the efforts of Prof. Rajat Bhardwaj, Coordinator Career Counseling Cell and the organizing committee for organizing this webinar.

Vironika Sharma, a senior faculty in “Study IQ” and “Director Proxy Gyan” highlighted that career development is very significant in the current age of technology. She focused on skill knowledge rather than theoretical knowledge.

Dr. Seeman Rubab, Professor Department of Physics, NIT Srinagar, in her presentation, talked about the importance of Graduation in shaping One’s professional career. She also explained that CBCS in the college provides a base that one can utilize to realize one’s dream. She further said that one needs to be very cautious while choosing the career after Graduation as it helps in personal growth and development.

The proceedings of the programme were conducted by Saleem Ahmed Yatto, Lecturer EVS and the formal vote of thanks was presented by Prof. Rajat Bhardwaj- coordinator Career Counseling Cell GDC, Nowshera.
