New Delhi: In order to commemorate the 71st National Constitutional Day, NSS unit of Government Degree College Sidhra under the aegis of ‘Azadi ka Amrut Mahaotsav’ has organized pledge ceremony to mark the occasion of the adoption of Constitution by the people. Principal Prof (Dr.) Monika Sharma, teaching faculty/ staff and the students of the college took a pledge wherein the preamble of the constitution was read out to maintain the equality, fraternity, sovereignty, Integrity of the nation. Students were apprised by Dr. Harpreet Kour HOD Political Science about the significance of the Constitution Day in India, that is, the relevance of secular political values, integrity and Common brotherhood. She further stated about the aim and aspirations of the Indian people which have been widely translated into the several provisions of the Constitution. The event was organized by Dr. Harpreet Kour, Nodal Officer Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav and Dr. Mehmood Ahmed, NSS PO of the college and co-ordinated by Dr. Anshu Gupta, Prof. Deepa Kak and Dr.Satbir Kour.
