GDC Sunderbani celebrates National Unity Day

RAJOURI : Government Degree College Sunderbani celebrated National Unity Day to commemorate the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel by hosting an inter Colleges Essay writing competition.

Department of Sociology organized the program and a large number of students participated in the Essay competition. The event was organised by Prof Sheraz Kousser, HoD Sociology. A Unity Day pledge was also administered to staff and students by College Principal, Prof (Dr) Vandana Gupta. The students and the staff pledged to uphold unity and security of the nation.

Speaking on the occasion, the Principal highlighted the achievements and contribution of the great leader for the country.

Sakshi Sharma of BA Sem-Vth bagged first position, while IInd position was shared by Harsh Mehra and Rohani Sharma both BA Sem III and the third position was shared by Rahul Sharma, Radhika Sharma and Prerna Sharma of BA Sem-III. The competition was judged by Prof Mukesh Kumar HoD Political Science, Prof Beant Singh HoD Punjabi, Prof Sham lal HoD Economics and Ravi Kuma
