GDC Udhampur organises NAAC Orientation for Students
UDHAMPUR : The Internal Quality Assurance Cell of the Government Degree College Udhampur on Tuesday organized an Orientation programme for the students about NAAC accreditation and Student Satisfaction Survey.
The programme was chaired by Principal Prof. Subash Chander Sharma in the conference hall of the college.
Speaking on the occasion, the Principal apprised the students about the mandatory accreditation cycle of the NAAC which is due for the college and also informed about the works and processes taken in hand for its smooth conduct. He asserted that the college has the potential to achieve the highest grading and become one of the leading institutes of excellence in the entire Union Territory.
He also interacted with the students and addressed various issues raised on the spot. He also insisted on holding such programs and interactive sessions with the students and staff on regular intervals for best outcome.
Earlier, Dr. Ajay Sharma Member IQAC and DSW of the college welcomed the patron, Chief Guest and other guests and the participants.
The Coordinator of IQAC Prof. Gurvinder Raj Verma briefed the chief guest and all present about the working of the Cell and the processes already completed with respect to NAAC Accreditation. He also apprised about the role of the Alumni and students of the College.
After the inaugural session, the Resource person Dr. Pallavi Bhagat had a detailed talk on all the aspects of NAAC accreditation with respect to the seven different criterions as also the role of the various departments, staff and the students of the college thereof with special focus on student satisfaction survey. An open-house interactive discussion of the Speaker with the students was also held.
The stage coordination and moderation of the session was done by Dr. Pankaj Sharma.
Prof. Samoosh Kumar, HOD Music tendered the formal vote of thanks and also informed about the series of programmes of the different sorts initiated by IQAC.
The programme was attended by Prof. Kaku Ram, Prof. Pardeep Singh Manoj Verma, President student counselor, Vishal Rondhan, Gen. Secretary, Udharita Mahajan, Divya Akhtar, Ridham Singh other executive members of the Students Council, NSS, NCC and many students of the college.
