GDC Ukhral hosts seminar to observe vigilance awareness week

RAMBAN : NSS Unit of Government Degree College, Ukhral today observed “Vigilance Awareness Week” which commenced on October 31, 2022.

A seminar and pledge ceremony was organized on the College Campus, in which a large number of students and staff members participated. The program was inaugurated by the College Principal, Dr Ashok Kumar.

Speaking on the occasion, the Principal stressed upon the students to aware the common masses and promote ethical values and foster a culture of honesty and integrity.

Prof Zakir Hussain Naik, NSS , in his address, highlighted the laws and acts against corruption like the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988, Lokpal and Lokayuktas Act, 2013, Central Vigilance Commission etc.

The purpose of the celebration was to bring together all stakeholders in spreading the message of integrity in all spheres of life. The theme of this year is “Corruption-free India for a Developed Nation”.

In their presentation, students talked about the growing menace of corruption and put forth some valuable suggestions to eradicate this ill practice from society. Among others present on the occasion included Prof. Iftikhar Hussain Lone, Prof Suresh Chander, and Prof Ishfaq Hassan.
