Professor emeritus Raimo P Hämäläinen, from the Department of Mathematics and Systems Analysis, is the recipient of the 2021 GDN Informs section awards. INFORMS is the leading international association for professionals in operations research, analytics, management science, economics, behavioral science, statistics, artificial intelligence, data science, applied mathematics, and other relevant fields.
The award honors an individual who has made outstanding contributions to research in the field of Group Decision and Negotiation and/or outstanding contributions to the GDN Section. The contributions justifying the award may be recent or they may have been made over the recipient’s lifetime. The citation for the award highlights Professor Hämäläinen’s impact across a range of fields which has resulted in the development of tools for real-world decision making processes.
