Gender Sensitization Workshop at Aftab Hall

Aligarh : Awareness on gender sensitivity and gender equality concerns was raised among staff members in the Gender Sensitization Workshop on ‘Implementation of Sexual Harassment of Women at Work Place (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act 2013’ at the Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) residential hostel, Aftab Hall.

The Chief Guest, Arshad Husain (Faculty member, University Polytechnic and Coordinator, National Service Scheme-NSS, AMU) stressed: “For a healthy performance oriented culture, organizations need a right mix of talent which is not bound by gender and it is imperative that all workplaces and individuals make the changes that count”.

He advocated gender equality for Nation building and called for the right kind of gender-sensitive environment.

Syed Mohd Talha (Officiating Provost) delivered the welcome address and felicitated the Chief Guest.

Dr Lamay Bin Sabir extended the vote of thanks.
