GHCL Foundation Trust, the CSR arm of GHCL Limited, has adopted five MCD schools situated in the South Delhi Zone as a part of its CSR initiatives. The purpose is to support the work being done by the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) and provide assistance in the maintenance and upkeep of these schools.

Well maintained schools with clean and organized spaces help the children to form positive associations and motivate them to come to school. The MCD schools cater to the children of marginalized communities living in Delhi and provide them quality education and opportunities for growth and development. Ensuring better upkeep and maintenance, of these schools is a step in the right direction to enhance the impact of these schools.

With experience in maintaining schools in rural areas of Gujarat, GHCL Foundation is supplementing the government’s efforts towards maintenance and upkeep of the schools located in in Block 28, Trilokpuri, Block 7, 16 & 19, Kalyanpuri and Mandavali 1. Earlier this year members of GHCL Foundation visited the schools along with MCD staff and identified various areas of improvement. In the past few months, a lot of work has been completed which has changed the ambience of these schools and infused positive energy in the students. The Foundation has initiated civil work, painting, plumbing, electrical and furniture repair and beautification through educational wall paintings.
