“Give blood, give plasma, share life, share often.” AMU Alumni Association Qatar, conducted the Blood Donation Camp

Doha: The AMU Alumni Association Qatar an AO of ICBF under aegis of Indian Embassy and Toastmasters International, celebrated the World Blood Donor Day by holding a blood donation camp in association with Hamad Medical Corporation’s National Blood Donation Centre Doha on 15th June 2023. The campaign was received by AMUAAQ and its members as well as community members who lined up to donate blood
Some dignitaries and associate members graced the occasion and donated blood. Ziad Usman (Former ICBF President), Deepak Shetty (Vice President, ICBF), Verky Boban (ICBF), Sabith Saheer (Former VP, ICBF), DTM Nirmala Raghuraman (Toastmaster Division E, Director Elect), Majid Ali (President, Integral alumni), Mohamin Alvi (VP Integral Alumni) attended the campaign. The Blood donation camp organized day after on the occasion of World Blood donor day which was on 14th June.
President of AMUAAQ Dr. Nadeem Zafar Jilani once again said that blood donation saves life and it is mentioned in the Quran that if you save the life of one human being it is akin to saving the entire mankind. So, by donating blood each one of us can get huge rewards. Campaign was coordinated by Vice President Mohammed Faisal Naseem and Senior Committee member Farrukh Farooqi.
AMUAAQ Chairman Jawed Ahmad said that to ensure that everyone who needs safe blood has access to it, all countries need voluntary donors who give blood regularly. He appreciated the team to keep up the good work and encouraged the donors for noble gesture towards the humanity.
The initiative was associated with AMUAQ Toastmasters and supported by Integral Alumni Assoc Qatar, while Mohammed Faisal Naseem (VP), Mohammed Farman Khan (GS), Dr Ashna Nusrat (VP Ladies), and committee member Mamnoon Bangash, Farrukh Farooqi, Saima Rafat, Dr. Mohammad Nayeem Aman, Abad Khan, Syed Shahabuddin, Mahjabeen Hussain and members of AMUAQ toastmasters volunteered to guide the donars.
HMC official Mohammad Arshad awarded the certificate of appreciation to the AMUAQ for conducting the blood donation drive. The AMUAAQ committee thanked Afrin, Arshad and Blood donation centre staff for their extraordinary support. President Dr. Jilani appreciated Almas Ahmad and Amina for handling the registration process.
Mohammed Faisal Naseem (Vice President of AMUAAQ) in his closing vote of thanks expressed gratitude to the attendees, associated organizations and National Blood Donation Centre Qatar for making the program successful.
