GL Bajaj Institute of Technology and Management becomes North India’s only Nodal Centre for KAVACH 2023

 

Greater Noida : GL Bajaj Institute of Technology and Management, one of the leading Engineering colleges in Greater Noida has been selected as one of the 5 Nodal Centers across India for hosting the 36-hour non-stop hackathon, “KAVACH 2023” on 8th and 9th August 2023.

KAVACH is a 36 hrs Non-Stop Cyber Security Unique Hackathon to identify innovative concepts and technology solutions for addressing the security challenges of the 21st century. Working toward empowering these imperative notions of our society, MoE’s Innovation Cell, AICTE along with the Bureau of Police Research and Development (BPR&D) (MHA) and the Indian Cybercrime Coordination Centre (I4C) (MHA) have launched ‘KAVACH-2023’ a unique national Hackathon. It is conceived to challenge India’s innovative minds to conceptualize ideas and frameworks in the domain of cyber security using artificial intelligence, deep learning, machine learning, automation, big data, and cloud computing.

The submitted ideas will be evaluated by a group of experts in the field and only the innovative ideas will be selected for the Grand Finale or 2nd round. During the Grand Finale, selected participants are expected to build a solution to demonstrate their concepts and prove to the juries that their ideas are technically feasible and more importantly implementable. The best ideas will be declared winners. During this 36 hours’ hackathon, selected youths from educational institutions across the country will participate to offer strong, safe, and effective technology solutions using their technical expertise and innovative skills. Total Prize money worth Rs. 1,00,000/- each is announced for the winning teams.

The 36-hour event will witness 22 teams, comprising a total of 150 participants, who have qualified for the final phase. Notably, every team is mandated to have atleast one female student, providing a platform for female students to venture into the realm of cyber security.

The central valedictory session of KAVACH-2023 will be graced by esteemed Ministers, including Home Minister Shri Amit Shah and Education and Skill Minister Shri Dharmendra Pradhan. They will interact with the winning teams during the session and encourage them to create robust solutions for everyday cyber related problems and issues.
