Glasgow University Secures Spot in World Top 100, Retaining 87th Position in THE Rankings 2025
The University of Glasgow has maintained its position amongst the world’s top 100 universities in the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings.
The University has been ranked 87th overall in the 2025 rankings, with noted performance in Research Quality and International Outlook.
The University maintains the position it held at 87th in the 2024 THE Rankings, which is significant given the increase of 185 new institutions to the ranking pool of 2,092 global institutions.
The University of Glasgow is positioned in the top 100 world universities for the sixth year running. It has also consolidated its position as 10th in the United Kingdom.
The Times Higher Education World Rankings are the most comprehensive set of rankings in Higher Education that include 2092 universities across 115 countries and regions. Trusted worldwide by students, teachers, governments and industry experts, the rankings give an annual review of the global higher education landscape.
